GEICO Rolls Out Changes on iPad App
GEICO Insurance rolled out some significant changes to its iPad mobile application on Tuesday (Nov. 27), according to a company press release.
The changes that the new app will offer include "swipe and explore interaction and data visualization," the release stated, allowing customers to see their policy information in a new visual format.
The app also features a video tool addition that enables users to watch how-to-videos from NASCAR driver Casey Mears "for self-help auto information," company representatives said.
On the topic of self-service features, those have been expanded as well. Customers will be able to access policy documents, digital ID cards, auto claim and billpay information.
"The iPad has revolutionized and streamlined how consumers conduct their day-to-day business activities," said Pete Meoli, GEICO mobile development team manager, in a statement. "With the new iPad GEICO app, we’ve focused on expanding the convenience features of the app as well as enhancing our customer experience for the user in a visually inspiring format."
The improvements beef up what is already considered a stellar mobile lineup that includes the popular mobile game Tricky Traffic, which enables players to take a trip through Geckoville facing a number of safety situations.
But while Tricky Traffic is cross-platform for iPhone, iPad and Android 2.2-compatible devices, the changes announced this week are currently iPad exclusives.
